Workshop Fees
As of January 1, 2008, each two-hour workshop scheduled carries a flat fee of $175 and serves up to 30 students. (Zeum waives workshop fees for qualifying schools when a fee-waiver application is submitted with the reservation request.)
- Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 20% ($30 per workshop) is required to hold your reservation. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, checks, school purchase orders or money orders. Please do not send cash.
- Confirmation and Remaining Balance
Once we receive your deposit payment, you will receive a confirmation and an invoice for the remaining balance. You must pay your remaining balance to the Zeum receptionist on or before the day of your field trip.
- Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, you must notify Zeum at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled field trip date. Every effort will be made to reschedule your visit. Groups who cancel within less than 2 weeks of their scheduled field trip date will be billed for the full cost of the field trip. The $30 deposit is non-refundable.
Chaperones
Supportive chaperones help facilitate the visit and keep your group together at all times, helping to ensure a successful field trip experience. Zeum requires one adult chaperone for every ten students in 3rd grade or older, and one adult chaperone for every five students for 2nd grade and younger. (Additional chaperones may accompany classes with prior approval at a rate of $6 per adult.) Zeum staff cannot be held responsible for any youth in your group at any time.
Preparation
The two-hour visit passes very quickly, so classes who prepare in advance produce the most imaginative projects and have the most fulfilling experiences.
Check-In
Bring your confirmation letter to check-in, and please be prompt! Groups must come to the admissions lobby at least 10 minutes before the start of the program: 9:20 am for morning workshops, and 11:50 am for afternoon workshops.
Your group’s experience will be most rewarding if your students have adequate time to complete their projects. We cannot guarantee a full program to groups who arrive late.
Consequences for late arrivals, regardless of the reason, are:
- 15–30 minutes late—You will not be able to receive the full field trip experience. Workshops will end as originally scheduled.
- Over 30 minutes—No educator-led workshops will be available. Your group will only be permitted to visit the exhibit in Zeum’s Main Gallery, if it is not otherwise occupied.
Special Needs
Please identify any special physical, mental or emotional needs your students have when making your reservation. For those with physical disabilities, Zeum offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, elevators to all floors, and restroom facilities.
