Join us for the Little Zs program- where young children go on an adventure in storytelling and the arts. Each week, we read a book aloud together and then explore its themes through a song and a hands-on art project led by a professional educator. We are pleased to announce that Little Zs is now presented in partnership with the San Francisco Public Library's Early Literacy initiative.
The Little Zs program celebrates each child's individuality while helping to develop creativity, self-esteem, language, problem solving skills and motor skills. Using a wide range of age appropriate books, creative materials, and hands-on art experiences the Little Zs program fosters each child's development in a fun, and friendly environment. Parents and caregivers provide support for their child and receive professional tips on how to encourage creativity.
See More with Seamore!
Wednesday, June 4 @ 1:30p
Wednesday, June 11 @ 1:30pm
Just like youth taking a break from school, Little Zs will be going on a little vacation for the Summer beginning this month. But to end the school year with a great big splish-splash, we will be reading about the aquatic exploits of Seamore, The Very Forgetful Porpoise by J. Otto Seibold and Darice Edgemon. Seamore can't remember his homework, the names of his friends, or that he's supposed to be afraid of killer whales. Then one day, Seamore meets the biggest killer whale he has ever seen...what's he to do? After the reading, we will take part in a super-fun summer art activity to close Little Zs for this academic year. We hope to see you there!
